PURPOSE
The Council, developed in 1969, offers a means for more coordination among health,
welfare, rehabilitation, and other service agencies.
OFFICERS
The Council is comprised of a president, past-president, vice president, and secretary/
treasurer that are elected annually.
MEMBERSHIP
Any full or part-time professional, or staff member in good standing of any organization
in Wilson County that provide services to the citizens of the city or county is eligible to

DUES
Dues are $10.00 per year for each member organization paid to the Council’s
secretary/treasurer.
SPEAKER
For each meeting, the vice president selects/recruits an informative speaker.
Suggestions may be made from the floor for further topics of interest. Representatives
of new organizations/programs that provide services to the citizens of the city or county
are encouraged to make presentations to the Council. To be considered as one of the

MEETINGS
Meetings are held at a place designated by the president or a vote of the membership.
Meetings are held the second Monday in each month at 12:00 noon. Each meeting
lasts approximately one hour. Each member is responsible for his/her meal and
his/her guest. The speaker’s meal is paid for out of the treasury of the Council, unless
he/she is already a paid member of the Council.
Agencies will be notified as a reminder by phone/mail/fax/email of each meeting.
At each meeting, time is allotted for special announcements from agencies and
pamphlets and other brochures may be distributed.
